Star pool player Senzo Nzwana Gumede, aged 39, from Primrose was introduced to the game in 1998, by his friend Jimmy, and he never stopped.
“My foundation was built in Port Shepstone, KZN, I used to play money games around Durban, until no player wanted to play with me, I moved to Johannesburg to find opportunities to upskill my game,” said Senzo Nzwana Gumede
Senzo Nzwana Gumede participated in several tournaments and was awarded nationally, Opening Comp Opens Champion-Eightball, Pool South Africa Eightball Seniors Runner Up, Blackball South Africa Blackball Men’s Runner Up, to name a few, and made it to the National Eightball Team 2022, across his 23-year cue sports career.
“I draw my inspiration from my favourite player Gareth Potts, who plays a clean game, without touching other balls. My dream is to see myself playing against professional players.” Added Senzo Nzwana Gumede.
Nzwana is currently looking for sponsors of any size to help him participate in the Men’s Team that will represent South Africa at the 2022 BI World Blackball Championships, to be held in Tangier, Morocco from the 8th- 15th October 2022.
