On the 10th of April 2024, Strauss Foundation visited Zimele Primary School and Fortune Kunene Primary School in Vosloorus where they came with several school shoes for those who needed them. 20 kids benefited from the foundation on the school Shoes second term drive.
Winter is now around the corner and the ones who are in need sometimes struggle to focus at school due to cold feet and the shame of not affording new school shoes. Hence the foundation it is in its mandate to help needy black children from disadvantaged families. As their mandate, it has different projects of donations such as sanitary pads drive which is one of their best drive they strongly focused on.
DJ STRAUSS the founder of the Strauss Foundation stated that the organization asked their Facebook fans which school is desperately in need of these shoes, and most comments received were for these two schools, Zamile Primary School and Fortune Kunene Primary School. Then they later visited Phineas Xulu Secondary School and donated more than 300 sanitary pads. In conclusion, the STRAUSS Foundation urges more people in the region of Ekurhuleni to lend a helping hand so all the kids in school and at home can be equal.
