On May 17, the ‘Legends Barber shop’ based in Bedford centre offered free haircuts to 25 pupils in Bedfordview High, in collaboration with the Copper Canyon Spur Steak Ranch located in Germiston(Lambton) that ensured that all the 25 learners are fed during their classic makeover.
Students at Bedfordview high appreciated the gesture, however, they couldn’t hold back their happiness as they took turns with the people’s local newspaper, indicating that it was a great experience and it was quite refreshing for them to have a real transformation while being treated to delicious meals.
A student (Karim Jordan) who was offered a ‘Daper Fade Haircut’ jubilantly expressed, stating that, “Today I had a great experience and it is refreshing for me to be made handsome here at school.
My confidence has been massively boosted as a student; as we all know that great looks can give you a good advantage in life, especially at school. Once you feel good you perform better, I would like to thank the Legends Barbershop and Copper Canyon Spur Steak Ranch for this treat.”
Another scholar ( Oseaan Havner) who chose the ‘Classic Fade Haircut’ alluded, saying, “I picked this haircut but it is not easy to achieve this haircut, but the Barber remarkably pulled it off, I’m satisfied with his service. Now I look marvellous and presentable,” he jubilantly expressed.
The last pupil (Blessed Hlongwane) who took the chance to express himself, said: “This was a great experience, they have done something unexpected for us as students, and I hope they will continue with their good deeds, I’m very happy about what they have done for us today.”
The owner of the Legends Barbershop shared her store’s main purpose in initiating the drive, she disclosed, saying that, “The main reason we initiated this drive is to motivate this group of students and others to take their educational careers seriously in a confident look, and we are also planning to return to the school.
“This is Legends Barber shop’s culture of giving back because we strongly believe that when we bless, we set ourselves to be blessed. We would like to thank Bedfordview high for giving us this opportunity, and we would also like to encourage other businesses to come on board with this good course. This school still needs help. Nevertheless, I also like to thank Copper Canyon Spur Steak Ranch that is located in Germiston(Lambton) for being part of this initiative, they provided 25 burgers, fries and juices that we highly appreciate,” she uttered.
The legends Barbershop in Bedfordview is one of the 44 Legends Barber stores that are found nationwide.
