On Wednesday 12 October 2022, members of the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Eastern region received information on the whereabouts of a suspect sought for a case of malicious injury to property committed in Daveyton.
Round about midnight, officers moved into said house, at Chief Luthuli Park (Ext 6). The house occupant, who was reluctant to open the door at first when Officers knocked, was cornered and handcuffed after the backup was called where EMPD Officers from Brakpan and Etwatwa precincts, responded.
The 45-year-old male suspect, who is expected to appear at the Daveyton Magistrate’s Court soon, to answer on a malicious injury to property case, is currently in lawful custody, at the Daveyton police station.
