Asantè Ngema, a 15-year-old from Ulundi, KZN, who spent her childhood in Secunda, Mpumalanga, recently relocated to Boksburg (Gauteng). Despite her lifelong passion for sports, she decided to explore modelling at Younique Modelling last year, embracing new opportunities.
In 2024, she seized the chance to make a mark by participating in the Miss Interactional SA pageant, where she now stands as a Semi-finalist, driven by her commitment to aiding children in need.
“My advocacy is centered around helping children in need,” she explains. “Children may require assistance if they’re facing harm, unmet needs, or rights violations.” With a deep understanding of children’s challenges, Asantè is eager to spearhead solutions and empower youngsters to voice their concerns, fostering self-love and teamwork.
“I have always been a girly girl, so when my mom introduced me to modelling, I jumped at the opportunity,” Asantè shared enthusiastically. “Joining has proven to be the best decision I have ever made.”
Miss Interactional is not just about glamour, it is about instigating positive change. As a Semi-finalist, Asantè acknowledges the challenges of navigating her first major pageant experience, yet remains grateful for the opportunity it presents. “Being part of this journey has been both challenging and rewarding,” she reflects. “I’m truly thankful for this chance to make a difference.”
