The Farm Guest Lodge in Daveyton hosted its 3rd Annual Festival of Families and Friends on Saturday, December 4. The event was successful not even the unfavourable weather condition could diminish the excitement that filled the venue.
Local DJ’s from the surrounding areas were invited to be part of the event and they played good music to entertain the attendees. There was also a braai section at the event.
“Ever since we started this project in 2018, it has been a great ride. So we do these events every first week of December every year. Today we are celebrating our 3rd Annual Festival of Families and Friends and we are happy for the support we received from the people in Eastrand.”
“We normally support local talent by inviting local musicians to be part of our event, we also allow people to come and sell their brands and food, we also provide entertainment for children as we offer them jumping castles and a swimming pool,” said Lekalakala the Manager of The Farm.
Lekalakala explained that these kinds of events help people to reconnect with their families and friends within a different environment.
Babalwa Vokozela who was part of the festival was filled with happiness because she had an opportunity to spend her time with her friends.
“During the year we faced a lot of challenges and it was even hard to meet up with friends as we were all trying to get on our feet and understand life after matric. So we are really grateful for such events that allow us to unwind and just forget about our problems a little bit,” she said.
The Farm Guest Lodge opens its doors for all people who wish to book or use the place to host their events and there’s a fixed price for that. If you are interested in using The Farm Guest lodge for any function please contact Lekalakala on 0671268360.
