On Monday 28 November 2022 at about 13:20 in the afternoon, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Precinct officers, arrested an African male suspect for assault, with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH).
The EMPD officers received information that there was a suspect sought for an alleged assault, that occurred in the Daveyton area. It is alleged that the suspect, forcefully took the victim, and kept the victim hostage overnight. The EMPD officers immediately reacted to the information and located the 31-year-old suspect, at his residence in Chris Hani Daveyton, where a female victim aged 21 years old was located.
The suspect was immediately arrested and detained for assault GBH, at the Daveyton police station and will soon appear, in the Daveyton Magistrate Court. Additional charges may be placed against the suspect.
