The EMPD crime prevention unit visits Elandia primary

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Social Crime Prevention Unit, visited Elandia Primary School in the Germiston area, as part of their school talk campaign.

The aim was to educate pupils about issues regarding bullying, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, and Road safety. The EMPD officers, together with teachers from the school, addressed these topics as they are currently a major challenge, to youths. The principal of the school, was there to welcome and thank the officers for availing themselves, to help encourage a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

The Social Crime Prevention Unit Officers will continue to visit different schools in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE), educating and raising awareness on these issues.
