Thulz Barbershop Premium celebrates two years in Business

One of the successful businesses in Kathorus, Thulz Barbershop Premium celebrated its 2nd anniversary on the 6th of March 2022 at Vosloorus.

Thulani Sicongwana (41) said that he opened the barbershop in 2020 March after covid hit and affected one of his businesses he did for a living as a Gospel Music Promoter.

“Since lockdown affected a lot of things, especially in the entertainment industry I had to come up with something to be able to put food on the table,” he said.

The anniversary was to celebrate excellence in business, the commitment to giving great service to the people of Vosloorus and people around Kathorus.

Thulani was very excited as people came in numbers to celebrate his business anniversary, tables were fully booked and over 200 people showed up.

The Barbershop Premium event worked with other businesses, Standard Bank sponsored with 30 free haircuts for the people who came to the event, Schweppes offered free cocktails, free sparkling wine tasting, and Ikamva Recycling Waste Management offered free recycling services.

Portia Mashiloane who got a free haircut said she’s very excited to have received great service as it was her first time coming to Thulz Barbershop and she will be coming back for more haircuts.

Thulani’s inspiration to open a barbershop came after he saw a gap in male grooming services in haircuts and lifestyle, his clients receive free cocktails, a double tot of whiskey or gin, and free coffee while they waiting in the line to get their haircuts.

Having offered employment to young people, Thulani plans to open Pop up Branches around Ekurhuleni and to expand his business to offer facials, manicures, and pedicures.
