On Friday, 22 March 2024, around 3:00 PM, officers from the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Precinct nabbed two guys, aged 23 and 26, in Davetyon. One was charged with messing up stuff and hurting someone badly, while the other was arrested separately for the same charge.
Here’s what happened: Last Wednesday, 20 March 2024, a woman asked her cousin’s kid to get some teabags from her house so they could have tea, as she was at a friend’s place. When the kid returned, he said he saw the woman’s son, one of the suspects, breaking things at her home. Worried, she rushed back and found her fridge toppled over, cupboards smashed, dishes and clothes all broken. The EMPD officers tracked down the suspect and arrested him on the spot.
In another incident, EMPD officers got a tip-off about someone wanted for a serious assault, and they caught him. Both suspects were taken to Daveyton police station and held there.
