The Kasi concerts organised by Ugqozi Entertainment, that continue to gain attraction for their significant role of offering artists in the City of Ekurhuleni, a platform to showcase their exclusive talents will continue on May 16,in Vosloorus Ext 9, 8005 Tshiruruvhela street.
These concerts have been significantly iconic by bestowing open mic sessions since their inception in March, and they are led by Vosloorus’ ingenious Afro-soul musician Takamia_Music.
Most artists who have been part of the Kasi concerts are commending and acknowledging the fundamental objective of the project, because the concerts possess musical arrangements and themes which resonates with their artistry abilities.
During the last session which was held in April, bands that performed on the ideal instrumental stage took turns in interviews with the local newspaper.
The first band that hailed and showed appreciation to the platform was ‘251 Afrika band’, one of the band members, Sipho Zungu relayed, saying, “we feel honoured that we were given this opportunity to perform here, we have not performed in while, due to the COVID-19 regulations. For us to perform here today it was a healing process, because in our City we don’t have proper platforms to perform as bands.
“This is our first performance gig this year, and we appreciate it, because it paves our path for the future,” he expressed.Another member (Philasande Mdlalana) of a band called ‘Jozi Bushi’, shared, saying: “We would like to thank Ugqozi Entertainment for offering us this opportunity to exhibit our talents. This is the first commercial gig that we performed during this harsh pandemic, therefore we extremely appreciate the exposure,” he divulged.
The next segment will be graced by a variety of artists coming from the four Pillars of the City of Ekurhuleni.
