On Wednesday 26 January 2022 the South African Police Services team from Vosloorus took part on their first wellness Wednesday. The walk included saps management and stakeholders were represented.
The walk was a 12, km walk which started at the gate of Vosloorus police station to Windmill Park flats the Walk started at 12:00 afternoon and ended at 14:40 pm.
According to Vosloorus police station communications officer Constable Nompumelelo Avril Nhlapho, this was to show or highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
“This was to encourage and set an example to the community members that physical fitness is very important to boost your mental health and limit chances of adding more diseases to your body,” said Constable Nhlapho.
Nhlapho also revealed the message of the day for the walk was “Love yourself, love your body stay away from crime and keep fit”.
