Inter Milan Football Club Brings Joy and Team Spirit to Etwatwa Junior Football League

By Sbongile Sokela
The Etwatwa Junior Football League soccer tournament has brought excitement and unity to the local community, with young players showcasing their passion and talent for the game. Inter Milan Football Club, guided by their dedicated coaches Dansile and Thabang, is one of the teams taking part in this year’s tournament. The team is not new to the field, they often receive invitations to other tournaments in and around their area, showing just how much love and respect they have earned through the years.
This year’s tournament featured eight teams, all eager to play, learn, and have fun. For Inter Milan FC, the goal goes beyond winning, it’s about seeing smiles on the faces of the children, motivating them to play more sports, and most importantly, to enjoy being kids.
The team has a rich history that dates back to 2001/2002 when it was started by Puseletso “Pitse” Mosia. In the early days, the club only had two divisions, under 12 and under 14. Although many of the original players have grown and moved on, the spirit of the team continues to live on. Some of those former players are now returning to support the team by donating soccer balls and helping the younger generation.
“Most of them are grown up and have more responsibilities now, but they are still present and have bought trophies and medals that will be presented to the players at this tournament,” said one of the team representatives proudly.
The legacy of Inter Milan Football Club continues to inspire the youth of Etwatwa, proving that sport is not just about competition, it’s about community, growth, and keeping the love of the game alive from one generation to the next generation.
