Long-serving employees awarded

The Mabogoane Investment Group (MIG) held an award ceremony wherein it honoured and acknowledged its long serving employees, on the 27th of May.

Among the huge number of employees who were honoured on the ceremonious night, Nelson Chikane who has worked for 24 years in one of the companies owned by the Investment Group, took the centre stage.

He was awarded a watch, a money voucher, a Samsung galaxy, and a certificate on the night for his tenacious loyalty.

The gratified recipient said, “I would like to thank everyone who has arrived here tonight, I appreciate the gesture. What has kept me going for all those years is my patience and willingness as an individual. I was young when I started working, tonight I’m proud to say that I have married a wife because of the Mabogoane family. I’m overwhelmed by joy for being honoured in this way,” he uttered.

Another employee (Sibongile Dhludhlu) who has covered 13 years, working in the Soma Emporium grocery store and fast food, which is owned by the Investment group, shared, saying, “I have no words to express my feeling tonight, but I’m grateful, I would like to thank the Mabogoane family for awarding my efforts tonight, I don’t see myself working for another company/organisation beside the one I’m currently working for,” she adamantly stated.

The founder of the investment group, Ashley Mabogoane outlined why they held the ‘long serving awards’ for their employees, he said, “This evening we are recognising and acknowledging our employees’ loyalty and efforts, as a business we are awarding them because we believe they are not just employees, but they are part of our family.

“They have showed their unwavering loyalty to us, so with the award ceremony we are appreciating them, the awards will be a regular feature going forward,” he concluded.
