The Mayfield Unjani Clinic celebrated its second year birthday on the 4th of December by donating food parcels to Elethu Daveyton-Cheshire Home that looks-after people with disabilities which is based in Daveyton.
The owner of Unjani Clinic said she was impelled by her caring nature to donate the groceries at Cheshire Home.
She explained, saying, “I thought it was better to bless someone on our birthday as Unjani Clinic rather than using a lot of money to host a cultural birthday celebration like we did during our first-year celebration, our primary purpose was to show love to the dwellers of Cheshire Home.
“By the way we are not only giving back to the community today, we usually do these initiatives throughout the year, I don’t want to mention the overall number of the grocery items we donated today because I’m following the guidelines of the scripture in the bible: Matthew 6:3, it stringently declares that when you are offering to help hand to the disadvantaged don’t go around telling everyone what you did, it simply implies that what you do with your right hand, your left hand shouldn’t know.
“We are assisting the community because we are quite aware that our clinic exists because of them, so we vowed as an institution that we will assist them anytime when the need arises. We are trying to assist our community every time. Based on our end year budget we don’t have other initiatives that we are planning to rollout this year, but if anything requires our urgent attention we will act upon it.
