On Tuesday 22 October 2024 at 11:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police
Department (EMPD) Community Liaison Unit (CLU) Officers arrested three (3) foreign nationals
following a tip off about a syndicate transporting stolen motorcycles to foreign countries.
The officers received information from a reliable source about the whereabouts of the suspects
who were found at a house in Capita street. Two men a female were found in the vicinity.
Upon investigations, three (3) motorcycles were found and among them one had already been
stripped.
The trio are detained at Elsburg Police Station, facing charges of possession of stolen motorcycles
and being in the country illegally. They are expected to appear at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court
