The N3 freeway direction south between Leondale and Barry Marais off ramp, came to a standstill until 13h30, due to an articulated motor vehicle (truck with 2x trailers), parked intentionally across the freeway, preventing other motorists to pass. The private car towing company on standby, was summoned and the truck causing obstruction, was safely removed to the verge. The SAPS members from Vosloorus police station, were on site taking statements from a male truck driver in his 40s, claiming that he was forced to block the freeway by unknown people, before they drove off in a Light Delivery Vehicle, taking along his truck keys. The EMPD Officers with other Law Enforcers, will continue to be visible and monitor public roads, places of interests, including freeways.
