he StyleFleek fashion (Lifestyle Event) owner celebrated her birthday on the 7th of November 2020 by modernly offering a money making opportunity for local businesses in an epic Pop-up session, complemented by soothing music that kept the atmosphere cheerful. When Ekurhuleni News interviewed the event organiser, Cynthia Maleshoane Mabethoane, she jubilantly shared, saying: “As today it’s my birthday I want to spread the love and grant every entrepreneur who attended my event a chance to make money, however this is a black women empowerment event; my main plan is to see businesspersons enjoying themselves while making money this is normally what I do, I usually host Pop-up events, I promote businesses, we as women need to prove that we can do things without men, this is a satisfying platform for those who are self-employed,” she excitedly articulated. One of the vendors at the event ,Lerato Dhlamini, also took the opportunity to express herself and she stated that it must be a fashion for black

people to start owning their own businesses: “I’m a distributor of Mammas Flat Stomach tea and this is my side hustle and I attend Pop-up events every time because they present good business opportunities and i pride myself in that my products can’t be found at any regular store; at first I was doubtful on selling these products, but after a became pregnant and brought my baby boy on earth, I wanted to shred off that baby fat and luckily i considered the Mammas Flat Stomach tea products and they worked for me after i used them for a month, and I was impressed with the overall results, then that’s when I decided to sell the products, I solely believe there’s more space for entrepreneurs in the business sector; we just need to cut out our laziness as individuals, be consistent and obviously trust the process,” Dhlamini clearly shared.Another seller on the day Thoko Mavuso, who runs a business named Makoti Online instantly highlighted to Ekurhuleni News and said: “ I sell home-ware and kitchenware items, I came here today because somebody told me about the Pop-Up event, and this is my first time attending this event; I’m now eager to attend again because I have learned a lot from other entrepreneurs here today, what continues to give me strength is that I started my business during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic but most people showed enormous support and my target market is everyone,” Mavuso declared.
