On the 28th of February 2022, the executive mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni, Ald. Tania Campbell welcome the new members of the mayoral committee during a swearing ceremony at the OR Tambo Government Precinct in Germiston.
The appointments took place after the multi-party coalition signed a new agreement to bring Patriotic Alliance into the formation to reinforce the multi-party coalition’s commitment to building a stable service delivery that will serve the needs of the residents.
Some changes were made to the mayoral committee to accommodate the new formation which are:- Councillor Bakang Lethoko will take over as MCC for Health and Social Development from councillor Charlottee Zitha.- Councillor Dino Peterson will take over as MCC for Human Settlement from councillor Mabekenyane Thamahane.
‘’We are very delighted to welcome the new members of our multi-party coalition and mayoral committee’’ Ald Campbell. The addition of the Patriotic Alliance will reaffirm the city’s commitment and introduce a new era of clean governance.
The new MCCs took their oaths of office in the presence of the Chief Magistrate.
