Pannar® Crop Extravaganza: Driving Agricultural Innovation and Productivity

By Sbongile Sokela

For over 60 years, Pannar Seed® has been a trusted name in agriculture, providing farmers with high-quality summer crop seeds. Earlier this year, Pannar once again hosted its much-anticipated Crop Extravaganzas at Val, in February. The event was more than just showcases, they served as a hub of innovation, bringing together farmers, agronomists, and industry experts to explore the latest advancements in crop science and sustainable farming practices.

At the heart of the Extravaganza were new product launches, cutting-edge research findings, and expert agronomic insights designed to help farmers optimize their yields. Attendees had the chance to engage with Pannar representatives and learn from seasoned agronomists who conducted rigorous, multi-year trials to develop tailored product placement recommendations. Farmers also gained valuable knowledge about Goss’s Wilt and best practices to keep their crops thriving.

“Pannar’s approach combines cutting-edge science with an understanding of local farming conditions, all while respecting the invaluable experience of our farmers,” said De Bruyn Myburgh, Lead Agronomist at Pannar. “Selecting the right hybrid seed is one of the most critical decisions farmers make, and we are here to provide reliable solutions that empower farmers to make confident choices.”

Beyond innovation, the Crop Extravaganza provided another exciting opportunity—the Pannar Bonanza Rewards Programme. By committing early to a minimum seed order for the 2025/2026 planting season, farmers enjoyed a selection of exclusive Bonanza reward items.

With its latest product portfolio, Pannar continue to offer world-class germplasm and leading trait packages, ensuring farmers had access to top-performing hybrids that deliver consistency and reliability.
