Pensioners treated to an outing at Vuka Darkie Container Mall

The elderly from the Vosloorus Old Age Home were treated to an outing at Vuka Darkie Container Mall, on the 29th of November 2020. The special treat was coordinated by Vuka Darkie Container Mall in partnership with Nthabigp Events, Linkup Shisa Nyama, Urban Dlozi, Heroines Awards, Thee Cleopatra and Classic Cars as an early gesture of uplifting the spirit of the elderly towards the festive season. They were entertained, given meals and gifts during the occasion and one of the Vuka Darkie Container Mall(VDCM)managers explained to Ekurhuleni News, stating that, “We offered this good treat to the elderly today as a way of uplifting their emotional spirit because they need to enjoy life in the same way as they did when they were young.
“We will have another one where we will offer the handicapped and orphans the same pleasure as this one; our main purpose as businesses is to empower the society at large, so we want to grant the same treats to those who are physically challenged, orphans and ordinary individuals,” he explained.One of the elders (Thembi Motha) from the Vosloorus Old Age Home who was accommodated at the business hub delightfully expressed, saying: “I’m excited today because we got a breather as pensioners, however we feel refreshed because we danced and digested great food today beyond the boundaries of the Old Age Home, we thank Vuka Darkie Container Mall and other businesses that made this outing possible for us,” Motha mentioned
