The KwaThema SAPS received a tip-off about an African Male lying lifeless in a yard at Ekuthuleni section (close to Block B HOSTEL) in KwaThema.
On arrival, they found a body of an African male with a stab wound on the chest and he was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
Investigations led to an African female at a house next to where the deceased was found. Further investigations revealed that she knows the deceased and it is alleged that she had a relationship with the deceased.
She was interviewed by investigators on the scene and she disclosed that the deceased, her and her sister and her sister’s boyfriend had been drinking at her place and the deceased jokingly made a comment towards her sisters’ boyfriend who then got upset and an argument brewed out of control between the two. The suspect then got up and stabbed the deceased once in the chest.
The deceased walked out of the door only to fall over in front of the house. The suspect tried to conceal the act of killing by removing the body of the deceased from the front of the house and dumping it in a pathway next to the house where the altercation occurred.
The deceased was identified by his family member who lives in Ekuthuleni, who is Siboniso Zipho Buthelezi. Investigators visited the known address of the suspect at Block-A in Kwa-Thema hostel and they were informed that the suspect had not returned home since the previous day.
Police are seeking any assistance that may lead to the arrest of Snethemba Mnguni who is believed to have fled to Nqutu.
