On 5 October, police from the Provincial Investigative Unit, Benoni TRT, and Ekurhuleni Metro Police TRU followed up on info about illegal firearms in Spruitview. They arrested one suspect for having unlicensed guns and bullets. In a separate search, the team found more bullets and magazines at MTN rank and Shell House in Johannesburg. No arrests were made there, and the investigation is still ongoing.
