On Wednesday (07 Oct) between 09:00 and 15h00 in Germiston, Wattville, Benoni and Actonville areas during the crime prevention operation/s, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Squad apprehended five (5) male suspects and different kinds of narcotics, were confiscated.At 09:15 in Germiston area, the suspicious 37-year old found idling, at the corner of Milne and President was nabbed and marched to Germiston police station, after Officers uncovered 1x plastic with liquid G, 1x glass tube containing a crystal substance, 1x black pipe with traces of drugs valued at R1500.Between 12h00 and 14h30 in Wattville (Thosi Ngelema street), Benoni (Tom Jones road) and Actonville (hostel) areas, four (4) suspects who are 22, 39, 42 and 44-years of age, were handcuffed and escorted to Actonville and Benoni police stations where 249x quarter, half and full mandrax tablets, 11x knotted plastics of rock and 90x knotted plastics of nyaope valued at R18950 with R2941 cash, were uncovered following body searches.The five, facing charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substance/s, are expected to appear at the Germiston and Benoni Magistrate’s Court/s soon.
