THAN R5K WORTH OF NARCOTICS SEIZED AND THE SUSPECT HANDCUFFED – IN ELSBURG AREA
On Saturday (05 Dec) during the crime prevention operation in Elsburg area, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit Members, apprehended a male suspect and narcotics worth more than five thousand rands (R5000), were confiscated.
At 11:15, a suspicious looking 37-year old found idling at the corner of Van Den Berg and Kerk, was frisked and handcuffed after 12x ziplocks of crystal meth, 11x ziplocks of khat and 10x sealed glass tubes valued at R5500, were uncovered. The suspect facing ‘possession of narcotics with the intent to sell’ charge, was booked at Elsburg police station.
The arrested offender, is expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
