Self taught beautician believes in skills development

26-year-old, Lebogang Magazi started her beauty business in Tsakane Ext22 in 2021. She started as a hairstylist doing faux locs and braids as a way of making ends meet saying everything started as a small idea that ventured into a prosperous business.
“After doing so well and gaining so much support I decided to learn how to do nails through YouTube tutorials, using my family and friends for practical practice.
“I am happy to say that I am a nail tech now all because of my dedication and endless practice,” she said.
She said she gathered motivation from her inner Passion mentioning that the beauty and salon industry thrives on passion.
“It is the love for transformation, the joy of enhancing beauty, and the satisfaction of seeing a client’s face light up,” she added.
She said after realising the high rise of unemployment and nonoticinghat many people want to learn how to do nails but can not pay to study for that skill, she then decided to share her skill and knowledge with other people who are open to learning.
“ I offer them skills, lessons, and practical practices. Many have graduated under my care and have gained skills and knowledge,” she mentioned.
She elaborated to say her biggest advantage is that her business enables her to save money, and the biggest disadvantage is customer disloyalty and the high peak of competition within her surroundings.
“Crime has excepted too, sometimes you never know when a person has come into your home in honesty or is looking for an opportunity to rob you, she said.
Magazi concluded by saying she is open to sharing as much as she can to try and better the next person’s life while helping them gain skills that will last a lifetime.
“The sooner you start learning, the better because what you do now determines the future of your business,” she concluded.
