South Africans recognised and concluded September on a bag through the celebration of Heritage Month on September 24.
The day recognises and celebrates the cultural diversity of the country.
On this day, citizens are encouraged to celebrate their culture and the diversity of their beliefs and traditions, in the wider context of a nation that belongs to all its people.
The day also encourages people to find their roots and establish their cultural background through research and interventions.
In South Africa, the day is recognised through gatherings, music, braai, and through the emplacement of songs. And cultural cuisines and traditional attires.
The day is celebrated annually.
