Station commander allows engagement with community leaders

KATLEHONG – Katlehong Station Commander, Brigadier Albertina Vesi, with Vispol Commander Colonel Pieter Erasmus, Branch Commander Colonel Pilot Mokgope, Support Head Colonel Phakama Gcaza, Vispol Operational Commander Captain Ephraim Shezi, Acting CIMAC Commander Sergeant Malesela Seduane and CPF representative Mr Bonginkosi Mkhulise, had a round table in the boardroom at Katlehong police station along with the Spruitview Community (Sector 4) leaders, Mr Hadifele Moremi and Mr Thembinkosi Mtshalala to engage and discuss crime pertaining issues.

Brigadier Vesi has an open door policy for everyone who feels disgruntled but is willing to listen with understanding in building a better and free society.

“Crime affects us all including us as the Police therefore for that reason we must all sit down as community leaders to find solutions”, Brig Vesi lamented.

Both community leaders representing a mass community of Spruitview agreed with Brig Vesi. They promised to do more in closing the gap between Police and the Communities as that creates unnecessary tensions, disruptions, and misunderstanding that leads to lawlessness in our communities.
