The AFCKO karate team hosts an international tournament in Vosloorus

The AFCKO starts its campaign with a winning streak as they host internationals in Vosloorus. Shihan Thulane Sibisi, an astounding karateka, takes his time to teach young adults from Katlehong and surrounding areas full-contact karate. Full-contact karate is any format of karate where competitors spar (also called Kumite) full-contact and allow a knockout as the winning criterion. However, it varies depending on the subtype.

The UFCKSA (United Full Contact Karate South Africa) wish to congratulate AFCKO for their successful tournament last Saturday at Vosloorus. Mighty fighters from Russia added more spice, but not forgetting other courageous fighters from countries like Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Moreover, our local (South African) fighters put up a great performance as usual. There was no sign of dominance by foreign fighters. Credit must be given to all fighters for their great performance, as well as instructors at the dojos, as it is where everything begins. Shihan Thulane Sibisi, the event organiser, mentioned that it was history in the making that AFCKO hosted international Shihan Alexander from Russia. It is by grace that Shiahan Alexander took his time to teach a junior class in Katlehong, the home of Full Contact Karate. What a blessing it is to have senior instructors who are committed to their art and talents.
