Traffic wardens and traffic police recover stolen car and fibre equipment

On Sunday, the 31st of August 2025 while patrolling around Kathorus and surrounding areas, the Gauteng Traffic Police officers as well as the Gauteng Traffic wardens Saturation Task Team (EC) got a tip off from Ekhuruleni North District Crime Intelligence regarding a Isuzu KB series. The vehicle was hijacked in Honeydew, Johannesburg in possession of Vuma fibre equipment worth R350 000 with a case no:752/07/2025 Honeydew.

The law enforcement quickly responded to the given coordinates of a tracking equipment. Upon their arrival, they recovered the equipment and motor vehicle canopy at Amaqokola street, Van Dyk Mine housing.
