Unjani Clinic Thokoza commemorated its 10th anniversary this past Saturday, 10 May 2025, with a lively event focused on empowering mothers and caregivers in the Thokoza community.
The clinic summoned mothers, pregnant women, and caregivers to participate in educational sessions led by speakers from Unjani and the Florish Team. Key topics included the importance of breastfeeding, prenatal care, and postnatal health. Attendees gained practical advice on navigating pregnancy, childbirth, and early motherhood.
Children were not left out of the festivities. A colouring competition saw young artists showcasing their creativity, with prizes awarded for the best artwork. Toddlers joined in the fun with a crawling race, where winners received small gifts.
Since its establishment, Unjani Clinic has served as a vital resource for maternal and child health in Thokoza. The anniversary celebration reinforced its commitment to supporting families through education and community engagement.
“We wanted to honour the mothers who trusts us and ensure they feel equipped for their journey,” said a clinic representative.
The event concluded with smiles, laughter, and a renewed sense of community connection.
