The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to notify members of the public utilising the Weltevreden landfill site in Brakpan of an urgent temporal closure as of 01 July 2022.
The landfill site will be temporarily closed until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances. All site users are advised to use Rietfontein in Springs, Simmer and Jack in Germiston as well as the Platkop landfill site at the Corner of N3 highway and R550 near Heidelberg.
The municipality will keep the public informed of further development in due course
