The Women’s Day Commemoration event brought together women from different fields to network, inspire each other, and celebrate their achievements and contributions. The gathering focused on discussing the social issues faced by women and finding real, actionable solutions.
The event highlighted the importance of women empowering each other, sharing ideas, and promoting gender equality. One of the most memorable moments came from Dr. Zolela Ngcwabe, whose words inspired participants to pursue their dreams and uplift others.
Former SAA CEO Ms Siza Mzimela and Keitumetse Moutloase a Gender equality activist delivered a powerful message about advocating for gender equality and supporting women, including single parents, to raise successful and confident individuals. She stressed the need for creating inclusive environments where women can grow and thrive.
Participants were encouraged to take action on the advice shared during the event, with plans to organise more seminars and host social media dialogues to empower and connect women. The event also called for promoting networking opportunities among women from different backgrounds.
The event was expertly directed by Nthabiseng Mochesane, who ensured that the program flowed smoothly and that all voices were heard. Hosted by KUSO Kutlwano Social Organization, led by Pule Malefaane and team, the event took place at Cafe 69. Bongane Nxele, Siphokazi, Solomzi Ntwenka and Ekamashenge were featured entertainment.
The day ended with a heartfelt message to young women: embrace the unknown, take bold steps, and bring positive change to your communities.
