Little Red Hood Riding Preschool in Windmill Park, Boksburg, celebrated Women’s Day with a vibrant sip and paint event, bringing parents and students together for artistic expression and connection. Principal Theodora Mkhize said the event aimed “to get parents together…to interact and communicate, know each other better…and to see how creative they are.”
Renowned artist Emmanuel Kaitano, a household name in the South African art scene, led the painting session. His vibrant murals adorn various public spaces across the country, and his work has been exhibited and sold internationally. Under his expert guidance, participants explored their creativity and produced unique art pieces.
The sip and paint event provided a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, where women could express themselves artistically. With child-friendly beverages and painting materials, everyone had a chance to tap into their creative side.
The event highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment and the role of art in bringing people together. By combining creativity with social interaction, the preschool created a memorable experience for all participants.
As the preschool celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, the Women’s Day event served as a fitting tribute to its commitment to fostering creativity and community. Principal Mkhize expressed her enthusiasm for future events, saying, “I would like to do some more of these events…also have guest speakers.” This forward-thinking approach promises exciting opportunities for the school community to come together and engage in meaningful activities.
With Emmanuel Kaitano’s expertise and the preschool’s passion for art, the event was a resounding success, leaving everyone inspired and eager for more creative experiences.
