2025 has been a year of learner empowerment, with the collaboration and support from the Winnie and Fortune Kunene Trust proving to be a great success. Through this partnership, 400 learners across Vosloorus Township have been empowered with a brand-new pair of school shoes.
Learners from Fortune Kunene Primary, Ndlendle Primary, Zimele Primary, and Khayelihle Primary School were among the beneficiaries of this generous initiative.
The purpose of the handover was to ensure that children are empowered and fully supported, enabling them to walk their journey to school with dignity while pursuing their educational dreams. Principals expressed heartfelt gratitude for this support, while the learners showed visible excitement and joy at receiving their new shoes. For many of these children, who come from extremely poor circumstances where parents cannot afford school shoes, this gesture was life-changing.
Louisa Molise, Founder of Youngage Foundations NPC, expressed deep appreciation to the Winnie and Fortune Kunene Trust for their commitment in spreading so much love to children and their families. She emphasized that the collaboration has grown into a strong and successful partnership, one that enables learners to take meaningful steps towards fulfilling their educational goals.
Molise further added “They can join hands by funding and collaborating with us on initiatives that empower communities, especially school children, because the future lies in their hands and we believe in them. Individuals and organizations can support us monthly or annually through donations, sponsorships, and funding on educational initiatives.”
