Youth Empowerment Programme Launches Partnership with Rosebank College

By Sibusiso Khanye

Youth Empowerment Programme launches in partnership with Rosebank College to uplift South Africa’s future leaders in a powerful move to reshape the future of South Africa’s youth. Lucrative communications has officially launched the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP) in partnership with IIE Rosebank College. The initiative will kick off with a vibrant community activation aimed at equipping high school learners with practical tools, mentorship, and the mindset to thrive in today’s competitive world. The programme is not just another motivational talk — it’s a structured, hands-on platform that merges education with empowerment. With South Africa holding one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world, YEP is taking a bold stand: prepare the young people early and position them for real-world success.

“Starting YEP wasn’t optional — it was necessary,” says founder and publicist, Rebecca Tlabago. “We see leaders, artists, professionals, and innovators in these classrooms. Our job is to unlock their potential and provide them with the tools no one gave us.”
Designed for high school learners, the Youth Empowerment Programme includes:
• School visits featuring inspirational talks and talent showcases
• Career development workshops tailored for township and urban youth
• Financial literacy sessions to prepare learners for independence
• Partnerships with local organizations to provide internships and exposure

YEP’s message is clear: Young people are not a problem to be solved — they are a solution waiting to be empowered. With the first school visit scheduled for 9 May 2025, YEP is already making waves as an initiative posed to change lives. The programme targets high school learners, focusing on real-life skills, personal growth, and leadership development that go beyond the classroom. Lucrative Communications is calling on local businesses, CSI departments, and influential brands to join the movement.

“We’re not asking for charity,” says Rebecca. “We’re inviting partners to invest in the legacy of a new generation — one school, one workshop, one young mind at a time.”
